Hi and welcome to our blog, which is (hopefully) going to be updated often, to let you know what we're up to, where we are, etc.
We're leaving England very early on Weds, 27th August and are due to arrive after about 14 hours (including a connection in Miami) in San José, the capital of Costa Rica. No plans in particular after that, apart from a return flight on 25th September.

First, Happy birthday Ben - hope you're enjoying the day.
Glad to hear you arrived safely & without any problems on the way. Was looking at your flight schedule & realised that you would be landing at San Jose at about 3.15am UK time, & that by the time you'd cleared customs & arrived at the hostel it would be well over 24 hours after you left home. But a nice breakfast & good weather is some compensation.
The weather in London is wearm but cloudy - the sun appeared for a whole 10minutes this afternoon.
Apparently a similar number of Brits & Dutch visit Costa Rica, so by the law of averages you should meet some of the former soon.
Family are all well. Will be in touch again soon.
